If you experience lower back pain, try this lower back stretch to help loosen the muscles, especially if you sit a lot.
Start in a standing position, with your feet hip width apart. Bend your knees slightly to make sure you’re not putting any pressure on your back, then fold forward at the waist as far as you comfortably can. You can place your hands on the floor, or on your legs. For a slightly deeper stretch, hug your elbows and let the weight of your head drop toward the floor.
Breathe deeply in this position for about 15 to 20 seconds. When you’re ready to come out of the lower back stretch, bend your knees even more and imagine pushing yourself up to standing with your legs.
