If you’re experiencing lower back pain, this simple stretch may be helpful to relieve tension and find relief.

Start by lying on the floor or a yoga mat, with your feet straight out behind you and the tops of your feet on the floor. Place your hands directly under your shoulders; keep your elbows close to your sides. Place your forehead on the floor and breathe deeply for about 10 seconds.

Tighten the muscles in your abdomen and buttocks. Take a deep breath, breath out, and push into the floor with your hands to bring your upper body off the floor. Start by just rising up slightly. See how your lower back feels before your lift your torso up any further. You should feel a stretch in your lower back, but no pain. If you feel pain, lower down to the ground.

Breathe deeply into the stretch for 10 seconds. Lower down and rest with your forehead on the floor for 10 seconds. Repeat this process twice.Exercise to reduce lower back pain
