Job Description
The Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible for managing the overall general accounting function, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger. This position ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and report of accounting data and acts as liaison between the company, government, client, and CPA auditors in providing required information and ensuring proper information is maintained. The Accounting and Finance Manager reports to the LOGISTEED America, Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer.

- Support organization financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations and directing staff.
- Manage financial accounting and reporting for all client entities, including consolidations and inter-company reconciliations, with recommendations for process improvements.
- Assist CPA with yearly audit requirements and enter adjusting journal entries.
- Work with outside CPA firm for reviews, audits and corporate tax preparation.
- Facilitate implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to reduce downtime.
- Establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information, and managing accounting staff.
- Accomplish accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Achieve accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
- Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing special reports.
- Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.
- Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
- Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing accounting regulations, and recommending new procedures.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company’s finances.
- Supervise the documentation of the company’s financial status and forecasts.
- Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
- Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations effectively.
- Train, coach and mentor staff on related processes and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, employees and customers.
- Report and be accountable to the Parent Company in Japan.
- Provide monthly and quarterly reporting using designated packages, etc.

Preferred Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions
Previous Work Experience
- Five to ten years’ experience in accounting and/or finance with similar organization or with a major CPA firm
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
- CPA preferred
